Murphy’s Law: Everything that can go wrong will when it is least convenient.
It’s funny how that works. You see, today is the release day of my latest novel, An Amish Cookie Club! It’s been awhile since my latest release (six months?) and I have been looking forward to this day for quite a long time. We’ve done a lot of promotion including my Ultimate Cookie Club Giveaway and lots of books on Goodreads and even posting the first chapter on my blogs.
Today…well, I had a dozen fun things planned to do. In fact, in the morning, I was going to livestream and BAKE COOKIES with my fans.
Alas, even the most well organized plans can get derailed.
It is not almost 3pm and, despite getting up at 6:30am, this is the first moment I’ve had to even log into my computer. A “short” early morning trip to the doctor for someone who cannot drive turned into a FIVE HOUR NIGHTMARE. Wrong directions, wrong building, wrong floor. UGH. And then, because we were late, they decided to make us wait.
And wait some more.
Now I have afternoon chores so I don’t think I’ll be able to livestream baking cookies.
God definitely has plans for us and they are not always what WE want at the time WE want them. It’s my favorite verse in the Bible: For I know the plans I have for you… The keyword is “I” because HE knows and we do not. We have to learn to be flexible and realize that we are not in control. In fact, if you think about it, we are never in control. It’s all up to God and His plans.
I surely do hope that you have received your books and I’ll be looking forward to reading all of your reviews. The more reviews, the happier my publisher! Well, actually, the more SALES the happier my publisher (ha ha). I will try to livestream later…maybe with Coco on my shoulder to share in the good news of a wonderful release day…even if I didn’t get to spent it (yet) with my readers.
Hugs and Blessings,
