It’s been a while and, for that, I apologize.
First, I want to say how humbled and WOW’d I was when I was nominated Morristown’s Person of the Year. Holy Hannah! That’s huge! I cannot thank the people who nominated me enough! I hope I continue to earn that honor…
Second, I want to say that 2014 is shaping up to be a whiz-bang year! OK, true confession…I hate the snow as much as everyone else. But, otherwise, I’m having a really great 2014 so far. Not only is my new book, First Impressions (an Amish adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice) being released on May 6th–preorder it here: http://www.amazon.com/First-Impressions-The-Amish-Classics/dp/1621366073/–but I have finished my Amish Emma book and I’m starting the next one…Persuasion…for my publisher. I must confess that I love Jane Austen and she’s so much fun to write in the Amish adaptation!!!!!
Finally, and perhaps almost as importantly, my doctor and fantabulous nurses at Simon G. Carol Cancer Center (shout out out to my favorite Lori Ann!) have continued to take amazing care of me and think that I’m going to be A-OK. While my body won’t take any more chemo for now, they are starting my preventative treatment and…well…I should be around for quite a long time to keep writing, motivating, and telling people that a positive attitude is what it takes to survive in this world.
So, 2014 is shaping up to be a great year.
